Diclazuril Oral Suspension is an anticoccidial drug used to treat and prevent coccidial infections in poultry, calves, or lambs. It is effective against Eimeria species, including Eimeria tenella, E. necatrix, E. acervulina, E. brunetti, E. mitis (mivati), E. maxima. E. crandallis and E. ovinoidalis.

Diclazuril is an anticoccidial of the benzeneacetonitrile group. It has a coccidiostatic effect on the asexual or sexual stages of the development cycle of the parasite. Its mechanism of action targets various Eimeria species, including Eimeria tenella, E. necatrix, E. acervulina, E. brunetti, E. mitis (mivati), E. maxima, E. crandallis, and E. ovinoidalis. This broad spectrum of activity makes it effective against a wide range of coccidial parasites.

The efficacy of Diclazuril is attributed to its coccidiostatic effect on both the asexual and sexual stages of the coccidia's development cycle. By disrupting the reproductive and metabolic processes of the parasite, the drug impedes its ability to multiply and spread within the host animal. This not only alleviates the clinical symptoms of coccidial infections, such as diarrhea and weight loss, but also prevents the continued cycle of infection, reducing the environmental contamination of coccidia oocysts.

It is important to note that this drug is for veterinary purposes only. Diclazuril Oral Suspension should be prescribed by a veterinary doctor or animal care specialist for an animal.
